Struggling for Healthier School Environments on 9/13 Ed Town Hall

Local parents join the Education Town Hall on September 13 to discuss efforts for healthier school environments in Ward 6. Topics include construction hazards and testing for lead in school water (first segment) and plans to build an electrical substation next to an elementary school (second half). Guests are Joe Weedon, Ward 6 representative to DC’s State Board of Education, up for re-election in November; DCPS parent Hannah Donart, who seeks testing for lead in school water; Tiffany Aziz, parent of a Walker-Jone Elementary School student, and Will Jones, parent of a neighborhood infant, both of whom are fighting PEPCO’s plans for the new substation.
