
Two candidates in the Democratic Primary race for DC City Council joined the Education Town Hall on April 14 to share their education views: Ron Austin, hoping to win the Democratic slot as candidate for Ward 4 City Councilmember; and Grant Thompson, seeking the Democratic slot as candidate for Ward 7 City Councilmember.
Each election season, the Education Town Hall shares candidates’ positions on education. While the races are local, many issues are shared with other jurisdictions. Tune in to be part of the conversation.
The District of Columbia elects City Council and State Board of Education representatives this year. Primary elections, including party selection of candidates for City Council, are scheduled for June 14. State Board of Education members are considered nonpartisan offices and are chosen in the General Election on November 8.
