Soumya Bhat, of the DC Fiscal Policy Institute joined the Education Town Hall to discuss at-risk funding for District preK-12 schooling — what it is, how it is being spent, and questions about that spending. Broadcast begins with an overview of DC’s budget process and timeline. Joining the conversation are Eboni-Rose Thompson, chair of the Ward 7 Education Council, and Peter MacPherson, an activist who focuses on DC’s long-delayed school capital projects and the effect of these delays on the education landscape of the whole city.
