Academy of Hope: New GED Testing, Transition to Charter

LecesterJThe Academy of Hope has been providing adult education in the District of Columbia for 30 years. Just last year, the Academy became a public charter school. The Academy joins ten others in the District, which has become a national leader in charter schools for adults.

Lecester Johnson, CEO of Academy of Hope, joins the Education Town Hall to discuss needs the Academy, its history and new status, needs of adult learners, and education in the District of Columbia budget.
