For a little background: Students say that the new exam was developed by Pearson, not by educators and without student input, and that it was adopted by the state legislature with little input from students.

They object to the use of funds for this test and to the addition of this additional stress to the fall of senior year, when college admittance is a prime focus. Find out more on the Education Town Hall, December 4 at 11:00 a.m. EASTERN time. (See also Chalkbeat)

The Education Town Hall broadcasts from Historic Anacostia in Washington, DC, Thursdays at 11 Eastern on We Act Radio.
