Education and #DCision18

The upcoming live broadcast of Education Town Hall on Thursday June 14 includes two candidates for public office in DC: Ed Lazere and Anita Bonds. Listen live via TuneIn at 11 a.m. Eastern. Or check back for recorded version posted shortly after broadcast.

Starting at 11 am until 11:30, Lazere will discuss public education in DC. Lazere is currently on leave from his job as director of the DC Fiscal Policy Institute, where he has analyzed DC’s budgets and advocated for progressive policies intended to address inequality in DC. He is challenging the current council chair, Phil Mendelson.

Anita Bonds will be on the show from 11:30 am until noon. Bonds is currently an at large member of the city council and member of the council’s education committee. She also will be discussing public education in DC and her work with it.

Additional candidates have been in communication and may be added to the conversation.
