Filmmaker Laurie Gabriel, creator of “Heal Our Schools” documentary (formerly “Hear Our Teachers”), published a notice on Craigs’ List asking for teacher critics. Three of her respondents took her up on an offer to participate in an experiment. Each would earn $100 for teaching 30 students 10 new words in 30 minutes.

Here’s the mini-documentary. Listen to Track 3 (8:00) below for her the follow-up discussion —

The film was released earlier this year and screened around the country, including at the BAT/Save Our Schools Congress in July. To schedule a screening or order a copy of the full documentary or to contact Ms. Gabriel, visit the “Heal Our Schools” website.
