Global competency is crucial in today’s world but a severe challenge for students with limited horizons in their neighborhoods and schools. The Global Scholarship Foundation uses a local curriculum and world travel to help young people in the District of Columbia envision themselves as part of a global community and, in doing so, learn to understand their own community better.
