Dr. Wilmer J. Leon III on March 13. Leon regularly writes and speaks on topics relating to education and race and hosts his own radio program.
Leon argues that states’ rights and local control of education are problems and calls for a nationally coordinated school curriculum. On the other hand, he advocates for change that “begins in the living room,” asking for parental involvement in schools and in disciplining their children.
Leon told of his family’s educational legacy and spoke of the importance of role models in promoting educational possibilities.
