DC Schools Leaders Join the Town Hall on May 30

Candi Peterson, school social worker and activist, is running for general vice president of the Washington Teachers Union. As a staff member of Cardozo Senior High School in the District, she is among the 100 individuals summarily removed from their positions as part of a “Reconstitution” effort at the school. Peterson will join host Thomas Byrd on the Education Town Hall, Thursday, May 30, to discuss her campaign and the many issues facing the Washington Teachers Union and DC Public Schools.

Peterson’s fellow candidate, Elizabeth Davis, is also hoping to join the conversation.

Also look for an opportunity — this week or next — to hear from, and speak with, Matthew Frumin, who is helping to launch a new organization of DC Public Schools parents.

Thursday, May 30, 11 a.m. – noon
Tune in at 11 a.m. (eastern) on www.Weactradio.com anywhere or WPWC 1480 on the AM dial.
